The mission of VETS - Beyond the Uniform is to reduce the high numbers of unemployed veterans and military spouses by providing them with the additional skills & certifications to empower a successful journey into the civilian workforce, and to mentor employers in the creation of veteran friendly organizations.
We are NOT your "standard" transition program.
Our program is distinctly different from the “standard” transition programs that simply move military veterans from their jobs in the military service into similar civilian jobs.
The vision of VETS - Beyond the Uniform is based on 3 key objectives; 1) to reduce the high numbers of unemployed veterans by providing them with the additional skills needed to make a successful journey into the civilian workforce, 2) to support and empower military spouses in obtaining successful careers, and 3) to mentor employers in the creation of veteran friendly organizations.
The VETS - Beyond the Uniform program is designed to provide veterans & military spouses with a wide range of No Cost services including specialized assessments, one-on-one coaching & mentoring, and access to hundreds of workshops to support the missing skills & certifications to help them successfully integrate and be effective in new career paths in the civilian workforce.
Our core values are ingrained in the way that VETS - Beyond The Uniform conducts our business and operations to support of our veterans and military spouses, and every decision is made with these core values in mind.
The VETS - Beyond the Uniform program is a coaching, mentoring, and training program developed by military veterans with the specific mission of providing veterans with the additional skills needed to make a successful journey from the military service into the civilian workforce, while also working to reduce the high number of unemployed veterans.
There are 100's of transition programs available to transitioning military veterans. There are so many, that it gets sometimes gets confusing for veterans to identify the differences and benefits of each one. So we decided to NOT be a typical transition program.
Unlike the other programs, VETS - Beyond the Uniform is a transformation program and our vision is to improve each veteran's chances for successful long-term careers by providing each veteran with a wide range of services including specialized assessments, one-on-one coaching & mentoring, video interview packages, and access to hundreds of workshops to provide the certifications & skills required to help them successfully integrate and to be effective in the business world and civilian workforce.
Veterans have received basic military training and have been provided the additional occupational training required to perform in their military roles. However, even the best trained veterans may be missing the key skills needed in order to successfully integrate into today’s corporate workforce.
We help to reduce veteran unemployment by providing the required career skills, and the knowledge to help eliminate the culture shock between military & corporate cultures.
The VETS - Beyond the Uniform program also provides coaching and mentoring support for companies and organizations looking to implement successful "veteran ready" hiring & retention programs.
Our team is comprised of veterans that have successfully transitioned from the military service into high levels of the civilian work force for some of the largest companies in the world.
We’ve been there and we know what it takes to be successful in the civilian world!
Our program is designed to work along side the existing military transition programs.
Delivering the skills needed for success
