VETS - Beyond The Uniform has developed a designation program for employers that meet the standards to be recognized as a “Veteran Friendly”, “Veteran Ready”, or “Veteran Focused” organization.
The Designation has 3 levels:
1. Veteran Friendly
Savvy, Veteran Friendly employers know what it takes to tap into the veteran talent pool to leverage their military skill-sets.
2. Veteran Ready
Veteran Ready employers actively seek this talent with specially trained recruiters. They provide their veteran employees with soft-skills training to enhance their productivity and loyalty.
3. Veteran Focused
The gold standard. Veteran Focused employers understand the critical role of culture, and the value of coaching and mentoring to ensure long-term career success for the veteran employees.
General Criteria:
- U.S. based organization with a minimum of 2 employees
- Committed to hiring military veterans
- On-going commitment to veteran career success
Designations are valid for 24 months from the date of award. Applications to upgrade to the next level Designation may be requested at any time during the 24 months by completing the appropriate assessment section.
After a Designation has expired, the organization must submit a new application with all relevant and current data in order to renew.
